Commercial Food and Drink Brands in Toronto have my heart and are some of my most favorite avenues to capture. I love working with local brands and companies that are passionate about what they do. Be sure to check out the latest food and drink brand that I photographed, Nutes Nutrition and the Electric Juice Factory. I had the pleasure of capturing their tantalizing smoothie pucks which are popular in the Greater Toronto area.

THE FOOD AND DRINK BRAND:

El Rey Mezcal Bar, located in Kensington Market, Toronto photographed for an international travel feature in The Guardian Labs in collaboration with Explore Canada. A unique combination of editorial food and drink photography with stylized hospitality portraits, candids and environmental images, captured for brand storytelling and brand identity to be included in an international publication feature.

El Rey Mezcal Bar is a tiny bar with warm wood decor that offers a variety of Mezcals plus small plates of Mexican eats. Immediately when you step into El Rey you are greeted with fun music and cool vibes that make this restaurant the perfect spot for a date night or your new “taco+margs” spot with friends. El Rey has a great patio that can be enjoyed during the warm or cool months in the heart of Kensington Market. Be sure to browse their menu before heading in because their customers say choosing just one item on the menu is a difficult thing to do!

ABOUT KENSINGTON MARKET:

El Rey Mezcal Bar is nestled in the heart of Kensington Market. Kensington Market is Toronto’s most vibrant and diverse neighborhood. It’s a walkable bohemian neighborhood that draws artists and tourists to its indie shops, vintage boutiques, and art spaces. Kensington Market is also home to specialty grocers, bakeries, and bars and restaurants. The Market has a variety of cafes and international restaurants that range from casual to fine dining.

THE DIGITAL CONTENT MARKETING NEEDS:

The Toronto food and drink scene is vibrant with a wide array of personalities, stories and features, with every community having its own talent to showcase. For this feature, The Guardian Labs was highlighting the food industry, specific to the Kensington Market neighbourhood location. Shot on sight using a Fuji xt 30 with a 23mm lens and natural light, these images showcase the personality, vibe and ambience of the location in a non-intrusive way, making the viewer feel as though they have pulled up a seat and are waiting for their very own margarita to arrive.
