Moon Dusk explores the brief transition between day and night, when the last of the natural light begins to disappear and the city takes on a different kind of glow. It’s a time when familiar places seem to loosen from their usual form. Edges soften, colours deepen, and points of light begin to emerge from the dark.
Created using intentional camera movement, the cityscape dissolves into layers of blue, teal, black and white. Architecture becomes difficult to distinguish from atmosphere; light stretches and overlaps, and the solidity of the city gives way to something quieter and less defined.
There is a stillness to this particular threshold that I find deeply calming. The momentum of the day has passed, but the energy of the night hasn’t yet taken its place. Moon Dusk sits inside that in-between space, where the world seems briefly suspended between what has ended and what is about to begin.
